Our first stop takes us to the stunning city of Avignon, once the seat of the Popes in the 14th century and one of the most powerful religious centers in Europe.
Wander through its historic streets and discover a city full of history, charm, and southern elegance. We’ll admire the impressive Palais des Papes, one of the largest Gothic palaces in Europe, built in the 14th century, and walk along the famous Pont Saint-Bénézet — yes, the one from the song!
Avignon is also famous for its impressive medieval city walls, built in the 14th century to protect the city during the Papal period, still surrounding the old town today.
Expect lively squares, hidden streets, and plenty of photo stops that bring the city’s history to life.
There is also the possibility to visit the interior of the Palais des Papes for a deeper immersion into its incredible history.
Next, we head to the legendary village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the most prestigious wine appellations in the world. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and panoramic views over the Rhône Valley, this is the perfect stop to enjoy the heart of wine country.
You will all have free time in the village for lunch, with the opportunity to relax on a sunny terrace and enjoy authentic Provençal cuisine.
After lunch, the experience continues with wine tasting, with two options depending on your preference:
