OVERVIEW

Hello guys this is your captain Simon speaking and Simon Says today « Get ready for an amazing experience »!
You have probably read A Year in Provence, Peter Mayle’s bestseller of the late ’90s. When fiction becomes reality! Cherry trees, olive trees, vineyards, lavender, and pretty villages perched here is the program today! Imagine walking through landscapes that feel lifted straight from the pages of a book, where every turn is a postcard waiting to happen. So get ready, fasten your seat belt and let yourself float away!! Love, Simon

1 - L’ISLE SUR LA SORGUE

If we are on a Sunday, I am sorry—we will not go to Mass, but rather to the market of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, one of the greatest Provençal markets. Colors, scents, and lively chatter surround you—fresh produce, flowers, antiques… every corner tells a story. The town is nicknamed the “Venice of Provence” because of its canals, and the antique shops are a treasure for anyone who loves curiosities.

2 - FONTAINE DE VAUCLUSE

We will probably be refreshed in the pretty village of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, starting point of the Sorgue River, before taking the most beautiful roads of Provence while avoiding to overthrow the cyclists, their favorite terrain. Famous for its deep spring, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse has fascinated poets for centuries. A short walk along the river reveals charming mills and hidden corners tucked in the greenery.

3 - GORDES

The hilltop village of Gordes, which rises above the valley, has got the most impressive breathtaking viewpoint in the area. I would take a picture to change your Facebook profile picture and avoid taking a selfie killing 5 times more than shark
attacks. From up there, you can almost touch the sky—and it’s easy to see why so many artists have fallen in love with Provence. The stone houses, narrow alleys, and nearby Sénanque Abbey surrounded by lavender fields make this stop
unforgettable.

4 - ROUSSILLON

We will discover the vibrant colours of Roussillon. Its ochre cliffs seem to glow under the sunlight, painting the village in warm reds, oranges, and yellows. Walking through the narrow streets feels like stepping into a painter’s palette, with every corner offering a new angle for a perfect photo.

5 - LOURMARIN

Finally, we will visit the charming village of Lourmarin, where we may meet the granddaughter of Albert Camus. Lourmarin is full of life, with its Renaissance castle and lively market square. Cozy cafés invite you to pause, sip coffee, and watch the world go by, soaking in the true spirit of Provence.
